Evaporation channel FURO 145

Evaporation channel FURO 145

Floor channel without outlet, designed to collect and manage rainwater and meltwater in areas where connection to drainage or oil separators is not possible. The channel’s design distributes water evenly and promotes efficient evaporation. Made from acid-resistant stainless steel for high corrosion resistance and long service life, making it a reliable choice for areas with low water volumes and the need for sustainable water management.
  • Evaporation channels are used to collect and manage water without directing it to drainage in areas where this is not possible. Evaporation ensures that water does not carry pollutants.

  • Channels are particularly suitable for areas with small water volumes where connection to drainage or oil separators is not feasible. Evaporation occurs when water is exposed to sun, heat, and wind, but the process slows in cold or humid environments without sunlight.

  • The channel design ensures even water distribution. The principle is that a large surface area with shallow depth increases evaporation. Evaporation channels should not be jointed; our channels are manufactured in lengths up to 4 m to avoid joints. For longer runs, multiple channels are recommended.

  • To withstand standing water with high salt content, the channels are made from acid-resistant stainless steel EN 1.4404 and the grates from stainless steel EN 1.4301. Note that the grate may still be affected by corrosion if in contact with salty water for extended periods, which can be avoided by adjusting the channel size to water volume and evaporation rate.

  • The evaporation channel may occasionally need to be cleaned and drained. See “Instructions and recommendations” for details.

Technical Specification – FURO 145

Material: Acid-resistant stainless steel EN 1.4404
Length (mm): 500–4000
Width (mm): 150, 200, or 300
Depth (mm): 50, 70, 100, 120, 150, 200
Load classes: L15, R50, M125

  • Water that remains standing for extended periods may develop odor due to algae and microorganisms. Regular cleaning and removal of leaves, debris, and sediment is recommended to prevent unpleasant odors.

  • Ensure that any contaminated waste from the channel is handled according to local regulations.

Variable length, width and depth (mm)

  • Length (L) = 500 – 4000 (in 100 mm increments)

  • Width (B) = 150, 200 or 300

  • Depth (D) = 50, 70, 100, 120, 150 or 200

Water accumulation at different depths (liters per meter)

  • Depth 50–150 at width 150: accumulates 6.0 – 18.4 l/m

  • Depth 50–200 at width 200: accumulates 8.5 – 34.6 l/m

  • Depth 50–200 at width 300: accumulates 12.2 – 49.7 l/m

Note: water volume is calculated up to floor level.
