The history of Furhoffs

Furhoffs Rostfria - quality in every detail since 1899

In the year 1899, Carl Furhoff established a small copper production company in Skövde. Two of his sons, Olle and Elis, later joined the business as well, which mainly manufactured various household utensils, such as coffee pans, pots, buckets, and washing pots. During this time, these kinds of products were frequently used in the kitchen.

During the 1920’s, the production moved towards working with a new material, which in time would take over all production – stainless steel. Our ambition then, as it remains today, is to always be at the forefront of stainless steel development. We should always be a leader in proficiency, production, and machinery.

Throughout the years, the company has expanded its business, grown stronger, and transformed, in conjunction with new generations of the family taking over the business and leading it forward. Today the company has 150 employees, and is successfully lead by the fourth generation.

The company has developed into two main production areas, supplying the Nordic market with stainless floor drains and various stainless interiors, and providing subcontracting services for products in stainless steel for the manufacturing industry, both in Sweden and for export.

We are still maintaining our traditions, with a copper manufacturing school running for current and retired employees.
